How do you validate an AI vision system for use in a regulated industry?

When AI vision is used in a regulated environment, high performance is not enough. You also need to document exactly how the system was trained, tested and validated.

That includes keeping training, test and validation data strictly separated, ensuring full traceability of annotations, and monitoring the model to detect when it encounters something outside its training data.
