When introducing machine vision for surface inspection, we need to consider a number of different challenges. In this video, we look at a case with 3 aspects.
Vision systems for surface inspection can generate statistics and trend graphs. Inspection of surfaces will often be an aesthetic inspection task. The machine vision technology will therefore often be combined with machine learning technology when we develop a system for surface inspection.
